Ground-Water Impact Assessments, Massachusetts
HydroAnalysis performed ground-water flow and water-quality analyses to determine
the potential impact of on-site wastewater disposal systems on water-table mounding
and ground-water quality. Potential effects on nearby municipal supply wells were
evaluated for several facilities, including proposed housing, waste-to-energy, and
commercial developments. Clients: Public and private clients through subcontracts
with engineering firms.
Ground-Water Software
HydroAnalysis developed a graphics-oriented software system for ground-water flow
and transport models. The software allows the user to process input and output data
through easily-used command menus and graphical data displays. Client: Nassau County,
NY through consulting agreement with Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc.
Expert Testimony on Ground-Water Impacts of Proposed Landfill, Rhode Island
HydroAnalysis presented expert testimony on issues of ground-water quality and contaminant
transport in Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management hearings regarding
the application of Birchwood Realty to construct a sanitary landfill. Client: Rhode
Island Department of Environmental Management through consulting agreement with environmental
consulting firm.
Impact Assessments and Mitigation Planning, Shirley, Massachusetts
HydroAnalysis characterized site ground-water hydrology, assessed potential impacts
on ground-water quality, and developed a ground-water monitoring plan for the proposed
Montachusetts Regional Recycling Facility in Shirley, MA Stormwater controls and
ground-water recharge systems were designed to mitigate impacts of this proposed
trash-to-energy and recycling facility. Client: CSI Resource Systems, Inc. through
a subcontract with The BSC Group.
